AFN Channel Reduction

Dear Americable Customers,

As part of American Forces Network (AFN) ongoing Strategic Modernization and Realignment actions, they have been directed to close the AFN Broadcast Center at March ARB, California and transfer the function and personnel to Fort Meade, Maryland.  As you can well imagine, this significant move impacts their ability to acquire, process, and distribute content for the audience.  As a result, they must temporarily reduce our channel line up on September 1, 2026, JST, by suspending the following channels, AFN Movie, AFN Spectrum, and AFN Family/Pulse.  AFN anticipates adding the removed channels back by the summer of 2027.

Services Affected:
AFN Channels AFN Movie, AFN Spectrum, and AFN Family/Pulse

Time Frame:
Start: Tuesday, September 01, 1600
